McKay’s busy office is based close to the port of Napier and offers a full range of agency services for container, reefer, cruise and dry-bulk vessels.

The Port of Napier is the ocean port for the Hawkes Bay, Gisborne and Wairarapa regions of New Zealand and also serves the twin cities of Napier and Hastings.

Napier's breakwater port is operated by the Port of Napier Ltd. It caters extensively for the region's export products from the horticulture, agriculture and forestry industries.

The majority of New Zealand’s apple crop is exported through the port.

The port has a container terminal with three Gottwald mobile cranes, and cargo berths for a wide range of vessels, including reefer, dry bulk and log vessels.
