The Port of Lyttelton is the ocean port for the city of Christchurch and also serves the hinterland for much of the South Island of New Zealand.

Lyttelton is a deep water port in a natural harbour operated by the Lyttelton Port Co. The Port offers excellent facilities including a container terminal and palletised and breakbulk handling berths which cater for, amongst others, bulk coal, logs, hoppers for dry imports, and deep sea trawlers.
