J Lauritzen A/S of Denmark is represented in New Zealand by McKay Shipping Ltd.

Founded in 1884, J Lauritzen has been involved in the shipping industry for over a century.

Today shipping interests are concentrated on :

• NYKLauritzenCool AB which operates with a pool of fully refrigerated vessels.
• Lauritzen Kosan Tankers operating from Copenhagen with a pool of LPG tankers.
• Lauritzen Bulkers also operating from Copenhagen with modern geared bulk carriers.

Lauritzen has been present in the New Zealand trade scene since the 1950's and still serves the fruit, meat, fish and dairy industries, whilst also providing tonnage for the inward traffic of Ecuadorian bananas.

Lauritzen's bulk vessels can be seen in New Zealand waters carrying fertiliser, coal and logs.
